POMO ICONOCLASTS

IMHO the proliferation of tattoos are the semiotics of our Western civilisation in decay; aka an attack on the Imago Dei! 

I would liken them to an initiation ritual into a gang of Faustian narcissists whose raison d'être is to degrade the heretofore potent symbols of the Judeo-Christian worldview, like an iconoclast who would take a sledgehammer to Michelangelo's Pietà or a graffiti vandal spray 'tagging' Seurat's La Grande Jatte and then posting their diabolical activities on TikTok thinking that they are 'speaking truth to power' or 'taking it to the man' or some other such vacant sophism intended to boost their 'followers' count.

Jumping out of the hot air balloon of Western Civ sans a comparable philosophical parachute might produce a momentary illusion of 'freedom' to the fool but the inevitable congress with terra firma will deliver reality back with a bang not a whimper!

SMALL DEVIATIONS

 We have all learned to live with incorrect beliefs. 

Why, I have no idea, perhaps it is because these days in the internet age we are so overwhelmed with information that we lose the ability to purse the true from the false, perhaps we never learned how to think critically in the first place, who knows, the whys are multitudinous but the fact is that we all do live with ideas that are false.

A significant one within the Christian(and wider) community is that God sees and treats all of humanity as His children..."we are all God's children" the refrain goes. Its a nice, mushy, feel good, candy floss doctrine that is both observably and biblically untrue.

Observably so because if you study the generational affects on family genealogy's of those who walk with the Lord as opposed to those who live for themselves there many long form studies to prove the generational benefits from walking with God.    

Doctrinally there is the verse in John 1:12 which says, "But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God" [ESV. Emphasis mine]. The implication within this statement is that we once were not and then we were!

Sometimes a seemingly small deviation can lead to an eternity of  regrets.

Gaslighting

Herbert Marcuse arguably one of the more influential Marxist intellectuals whose ideas have significantly influenced the undermining of western civilisation, coined the phrase 'repressive tolerance' which in effect means tolerance only within the scope of those ideas that suit the leftist/Marxist worldview. 

Of course their propaganda arms in the media constantly screech about how tolerant the left is(compared to the repressive 'right') but all the evidence in culture shows the exact opposite. This is why we see rainbow flags, BLM posters, LGBTetc screeds all over school walls but when Conservatives want to put a poster with the 10 Commandments on those same school walls, the left has a propaganda meltdown and anarchists take to the streets.
