Very uncool

I have just finished viewing a channel 9 programme on the wild landscapes of Patagonia(beautiful) and its rapidly diminishing glaciers. I was a little disappointed with Alison Langdon’s interviewing style because I usually enjoy her willingness to take chances. However in this case her ‘questioning’ displayed the current left-wing journalistic bias of providing an approved platform for the scientists diatribe rather than asking any probing questions.

Of course the English ‘scientist’, Dr Stefan Harrison was particularly strident in his global warming faith presumably because his grants and hand-outs from the public-trough depended on it. His ‘moral posturing’ and downright pretentiousness in dismissing ‘climate sceptics’ included some outright lies; for example in his claim that those who disagree with the ‘scientific consensus’ have never published any material of any consequence. This latest small extract gives the hypocritical lie to that porky:

Pat Michaels has been a skeptic in the climate change debate since the beginning, speaking his mind for 25 years and writing six books. He has been a research professor for 30 years. He was The State Climatologist of Virginia, and a past president of the American Association of State Climatologists, and has published hundreds of papers. Controversially, in 2007 the Governor of Virginia told Michaels his views were not welcome, and Michaels resigned saying it was ” because I was told that I could not speak in public on my area of expertise, global warming, as state climatologist.” Lubos Motl lamented that “Prof Patrick Michaels was effectively stripped of his title”, in another act of “blatant ideological cleansing.” He was replaced with someone who had published hardly any papers but evidently had the “right” views.

Harrison’s real agenda became much more evident towards the end of the program when he opined that ‘carbon dioxide’(warmist’s ‘poison gas’ [a.k.a. plant-food])which is the air we breathe out, happens to be killing these magnificent natural wonders(the glaciers) and that as long as humans are on this planet these wonders will continue to die. His statement that the only hope for them is for us humans to disappear is classic Gaian misanthropy, a belief which uncannily mirrors Friedrich Engel’s attitude towards humanity.

“Engels’ eagerness to see “the disappearance from the face of the earth not only of reactionary classes and dynasties, but also of entire reactionary peoples.” A global class genocide that would be, in his words, “a step forward.”

In speech after speech by Green fanatics, extreme vegans, Gaian worshippers, and ‘ethics’ philosophers the idea of human beings as a virus is being expounded. Along with euthanasia advocates gaining strength all over the West, abortion killing innocents in the tens of millions, infanticide being proposed as ‘acceptable up to one year old’ and activists undergoing voluntary sterilisation as a ‘moral choice’ it almost looks as if a new global genocide is being planned.

It appears that even though the mass murderers of the 20th Century may have died, their ‘ideas’ have merely shifted loci. Who would have thought that extreme Marxists, fascists, serial killers and global warming fanatics have so much in common; Surprise, surprise, NOT!
